Clarence Whitaker Saturday, December 22, 1951 - Friday, June 2, 2017

Clarence Whitaker was born December 22, 1951 in Tchula, Mississippi to Teotha Davenport an Josephine Whitaker. He was one of 20 children between both sides.Clarence confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Since moving to Kansas City, Ks. Clarence was a member of Living Word Church under the leadership of Pastor Dewayne McFeders. Clarence departed this life on June 2,2017. He was preceded in death by his step-Father, Mother and Brother, L.C. Whitaker, L.C.Whitaker, Mc Author Whitaker, Robert Charles Greer Jr., Leslie Davenport his sisters Ernestine Davenport, Mea Thelma White and Blanche Thurrinaw. Clarence attended Manual High School for 2 years in Peoria, Illinois and then went on to graduate from Saint Academy High School in Lexington, Mississippi where he was known as the number one star football player for both schools. After graduating from high school, Clarence went on to probably serve in the Marine Corp. Clarence was a lover of hunting, which he won a number of trophies, plaques and certificates. His favorite pastime when he wasn’t hunting was watching a good Karate movie or any show that had to do with nature. He was a big family man and would do anything for them, especially all his grand babies.Clarence loved just sitting back with the family and friends and talking, plus it wasn’t nothing for him to throw a good bar-be-Que or fish fry. You could always count on him to do whatever he could for anyone or just give some good sound advice. He spent 30 years as a driver and he could tell you how to get anywhere you wanted to go without a map. Clarence retired from truck driving, later returning to work at Sutter Feed and 56 Interprise until his sickness. Clarence leave to cherish, his devoted and loving wife of 28 years, Loretta Whitaker, 3 sons Kris Whitaker(Samantha), Topeka, Ks. Tyrone Wesson (Sandra) KCKS. Eric McCoy, KCMO. , 3 daughters, Nichole Wesson, KCKS., Tarshia McIntosh, KCKS., Donyell Williams, KCKs. , 3 brothers, Roy Neal Whitaker, Peoria,Il. Ernest Whitaker(Debra), Chicago, Il., Otha Davenport(Arlene) KCKS., sisters, Maxine Jenkin, Peoria Il., Debra Whitaker, Peoria Il.,Iola Cubic, KCKS.,Lillie Davenport, KCKS., Linda Cunningham, Durant, Ms., Willa Dean Venerable, Los Vegas, NV.,Ineal Poole, Los Angeles, Ca., Annie Marrow( Larry) KCKS., 24 grand kids, 23 Great Grand Kids, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins friends.
