Norris Brownlee Sr. Sunday, May 11, 1952 - Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Mr. NORRIS BROWNLEE slipped quietly from this life into everlasting on May31, 2017 in Kansas. He was born on May 11, 1952 to Eddie and Aser Lee Brownlee in Kansas City, Ks. He was the fifth of nine children born. His Father, Paternal and Maternal grandparents and two brothers Willie C. McNairy and Willie Brownlee, and one sister Doris Brownlee preceded him in death. His son Willie Brandon Brownlee also preceded him in death. Norris joined Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age participating in Sunday School and the Usher Board. Norris attended Hawthorne Elementary and Northwest Jr. High School. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1971. While there, he participated on the Class Board. Norris was employed by Greenbier Rail Services. He also worked for The Union Pacific Railroad, Jean West and KG Mens Wear. Norris Loved to watch sports, Law and Order, reading the newspaper, and family activities. To cherish him with fond memories, he leaves his beloved wife Christella, his daughters Brandie, Shaella, and Erin all of Kansas City, Ks: his sons Norris Jr, Guston, and Dyron all of Kansas City, Ks: ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren: his mother Aser Lee Brownlee; four brothers Eddie, Dennis, Kenneth (Teresa) Williams, Julius (Rhianna) all of Kansas City, KS ; five sisters Bessie Jackson, Joyce Brownlee, Wanda Paige, Marilyn Parker all of Kansas City, KS, and Mary Blair of Westpoint, Mississippi; one aunt Georgia Powell of Kansas City, MO; and a host of other relatives and special, friend Cleveland McBeth. We give reverence to the dead through service to the living.

For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Phillipians 1:21). My condolences to the Brownlee family for the loss of their loved one. I will miss my childhood friend and classmate. Though we may face trouble and difficulties, sadness and pain, God is still in control, and he is with us. 

I'm so sorry for your loss. Brotha Norris was a very good Man. He was an uncle to me who shared his wisdom and information. He'll be sorely missed. Peace

I went to all 3 schools with. Norris.I also saw him 2 years ago and at reunions.RIH classmate.Condolences to the family.
